Community Weavers of AI and Nature-based Solutions

Urban sustainability challenges such as mobility, green infrastructure, and climate adaptation call for algorithms combined with community knowledge. This project develops grassroots-participatory AI methods that bring together optimization, community knowledge, and nature-based solutions to support urban transformation. The work grows from direct collaboration with community organizations and takes multi-objective decision-making as its core methodological thread. The Google Academic Research Award 2024 on Society-Centered AI funds the project.
